Gejza Bárdoš (1908 – 1961) was a leading Slovak physician in the field of pathological physiology, pedagogue, publicist. He studied in Bratislava, Brussels, Paris and London. He laid the foundations of modern pathological physiology. Publicly acting as a chairman of several medical associations and a delegate of international medical conventions. Organizer of professional lectures, member of advisory government bodies in the field of medicine. He has published several professional articles and monographs. Editor-in-Chief of the Bratislava Medical Papers. In the field of education, he worked as the head of the Department of Experimental Pathology and Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University.
